Plitvice Lakes National Park

All day trip on mini bus.

The waters flowing over the limestone and chalk have, over thousands of years, deposited travertine barriers, creating natural dams which in turn have created a series of beautiful lakes, caves and waterfalls. Plitvice Lakes is the most well known national park in Croatia and is among the most beautiful sights of nature in Europe. This "Pearl of continental Croatia" was added to the list of World Natural Heritage by UNESCO due to its diversity. The forests in the park are home to bears, wolves and many rare bird species.

Kornati National Park

All day trip w/boat - leaving from Zadar.

There are 89 islands, islets and reefs within the area of Kornati National Park, what makes it the most indented group of islands in the Mediterranean. The land part of Kornati National Park covers less than 1/4 of its total area, but the values of its landscapes, the "crowns" (cliffs) on the islands facing the open sea, and interesting relief structures, make this part of Kornati National Park unique. Besides, the Kornati submarine area, whose biocenosis are considered to be the richest in the Adriatic Sea, and also the magnificent geomorphology of the sea bed attracts divers from all over Europe to come and enjoy in unforgettable submarine adventures.

Paklenica is the second National Park in Croatia, proclaimed in 1949. Its designation is an indication of the natural diversity and richness of the area, at a place where the Mediterranean, continental and mountain climates meet. The Park is famous for its rich flora and also hosts a special kind of karst relief with many attractive features typical for this limestone system. There are 70 caves and two majestic canyons: Velika and Mala Paklenica. The steep slopes of the canyons (up to 400 m) have made the area Croatia's most popular climbing centre.
